Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a software engineer to design and implement embedded software for Linux-based devices and high-reliability systems used in satellite and aerospace applications. You will work across the software stack, from drivers to end-use applications, including BSPs and user interfaces.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, testing, and qualification, with collaboration across engineering teams and participation in proposals and design reviews.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in CS/EE/CE required.
• Minimum 5 years of industry software development experience.
• Hands-on development and debugging of embedded hardware; API design for FPGA interfacing.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and deployment.
• Developing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting system software.
• Reviewing code and system designs; analyzing code for efficiency, stability, and scalability.
• Integrating and validating new product designs; supporting software QA and optimizing I/O performance.
• Providing post-production/in-orbit customer support and interfacing with hardware engineers.
• Interacting with customers and executive team; contributing to proposals.
