Job summary

Stellantis NV in Auburn Hills seeks a Staff Embedded Software Engineer to lead and develop embedded audio software for QNX-based infotainment on Qualcomm Snapdragon SoCs. You will own low-latency, multi-zone audio paths and work with cross-functional teams to deliver robust in-vehicle audio.

The role requires hands-on expertise in DSP stacks, QNX drivers, and automotive safety practices, plus leadership to mentor engineers and shape technical standards across the audio domain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or related field.
• 8+ years of embedded software experience with audio on Qualcomm Snapdragon or similar.
• Deep hands-on with Qualcomm audio stack and QNX environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead bring-up and integration of audio subsystems on new SoC platforms and hardware revisions.
• Design low-latency, multi-zone audio routing architectures for multi-source playback.
• Debug audio issues across the stack: latency, pops/clicks, synchronization.
• Enforce automotive-grade quality practices including functional safety and boot time budgets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Android Automotive / AAOS and hardware groups.
• Mentor engineers, perform design and code reviews, and set audio standards.
• Roadmap planning with management for audio competency growth.
• Drive RCAs and resolution of field/production audio issues.
• Support audio software architecture and roadmap for QNX-based infotainment HPC.
