Job summary

SST, based in Southfield, Michigan, is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead embedded software for automotive infotainment on Android, Linux, and QNX. You’ll design, implement, and optimize features across Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, audio, multimedia, Android Auto, and CarPlay, and drive CI/CD improvements.

You will mentor teams, perform deep debugging, and ensure quality through code reviews and architectural guidance while coordinating with OEM stakeholders and verification teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or Computer Engineering.
• 3 years of automotive embedded software experience.
• Experience with Android Auto and CarPlay is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, validate, and optimize embedded software for automotive infotainment across Android, Linux, and QNX.
• Lead debugging, root-cause analysis and code reviews.
• Mentor engineers and facilitate Scrum ceremonies.
• Collaborate with OEMs and suppliers to meet project timelines.
