Job summary

Stellantis NV is seeking a Sr. Staff SoC Platform SW Engineer to lead low-level system software for next-generation automotive SoCs.

You will drive bootloader, BSP, and OS integration across QNX, Embedded Linux, and Android, while implementing hardware safety and security features such as secure boot and root of trust. The role requires hands-on debugging across bootloaders, hypervisors, device drivers, and multicore init, collaborating with semiconductor partners and OS vendors to ensure

Qualifications

• 8+ years in embedded software for automotive SoCs.
• Experience with QNX, Embedded Linux, and/or Android at BSP/kernel level.
• Proficiency in C/C++, ARM-based architectures and low-level embedded programming.
• Experience with bootloader, BSP integration, devices drivers, and hardware bring-up.
• Experience implementing safety and security features within bootloader/OS layers.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and integration of SoC bootloader, BSP, and low-level platform software across QNX, Linux, and Android environments.
• Implement and integrate hardware safety mechanisms: ECC handling, fault monitoring, error reporting, recovery.
• Integrate hardware security features: secure boot, root of trust, firmware authentication, TEE.
• Drive platform stability by resolving boot failures, kernel crashes, and system hangs.
• Lead debugging across SoC hardware, bootloader, hypervisor, drivers, and OS layers.
• Support SoC bring-up, boot sequence optimization, memory initialization, and multicore init.
• Collaborate with semiconductor partners and OS vendors to validate safety and security capabilities.
• Develop diagnostic tools, automated tests, and fault-injection frameworks for validation.
• Support QNX Hypervisor, Linux, and Android guest environments on virtualized platforms.
