Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Staff Engineer - Electrification System (Electrical Architecture) to direct development of electrification hardware and systems. The role requires deep knowledge of eAxle, generator systems, inverters, and battery-related interactions, with a focus on performance, reliability, and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical hardware systems and power electronics.
• Experience with EAxle or REEV related components is advantageous.
• Ability to identify and solve complex technical challenges across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, development, and testing of electrical components and systems such as EAxle / Generator systems.
• Lead exploration of new design concepts and manufacturing techniques to improve performance.
• Ensure seamless integration of components into the vehicle architecture.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Apply root cause analysis, DOE, and FMEA to resolve issues.
• Coordinate with NA and global teams on design, integration, and testing.
