Job summary

Longshot Space Technologies Corporation is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to own the electrical architecture across programs, including HV pulsed ignition, sequencing control, instrumentation, and avionics. You will lead the electrical team, design CCAs, FPGAs, and embedded electronics, and own safety and test readiness.

The role is onsite in Alameda, CA with 25–30% travel for campaigns. 6+ years in electrical engineering or 4+ with MS/3+ with PhD, hands-on leadership, and project budgeting

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or higher with relevant experience.
Experience with pulsed power/high-voltage systems and safety practices.
Full design cycle from requirements to field support.
Ability to lead and mentor a team and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

Own electrical architecture for gun systems and test vehicles.
Define interfaces and requirements for electrical assemblies.
Lead design reviews and drive safety and documentation.
Develop test plans and execute qualification of hardware.
