Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer in Roy, UT to support the Sentinel program. You will oversee electrical design/analysis, coordinate with vendors, review diagrams, and deliver Interface Models and PDPs across multiple facilities.

Responsibilities include briefing leadership, identifying risks, and ensuring quality; candidates must manage schedules and meet milestones in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 12 years of experience, or 10 years with a Master’s, or 8 years with a PhD.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Ability to obtain SAP approval within a reasonable period.
• Experience with formal management and leadership including performance reviews.
• Demonstrated cross-organizational collaboration experience.
• CAM (Control Account Management) experience.
• Electrical design and/or electrical integration experience.
• Knowledgeable with Siemens Teamcenter PLM or equivalent.
• Electrical architecture, power equipment design, interface definition, and cable/harness design.
• Experience with Siemens Capital or equivalent.
• Knowledge of schedule and technical recovery planning.
• Ability to meet program technical, cost and schedule milestones.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Preferred qualifications: experience with high-power/high-frequency systems; EMI/EMC, and DoD acquisition processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate electrical design/analysis (cable/harness, distribution boxes) per scope of work.
• Manage interactions with vendors and suppliers.
• Review engineering deliverables: one-line, schematics, wiring diagrams, data sheets, and interconnect diagrams.
• Support development and delivery of PDPs, ADPs, interface models, CDRLs/SDRLs, and related design artifacts.
• Ensure design/analytic quality by applying proper processes and procedures.
• Brief leadership, stakeholders, and customers on design/analysis artifacts.
• Identify risks and opportunities; implement mitigation/capture actions.
• Participate in program, customer, and supplier technical exchange meetings.
• Support milestone reviews with progress status updates.
• Coordinate electrical system engineering content and work products.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to understand system interdependencies.
• Exhibit leadership principles such as integrity, respect, organization, and communication.
