Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer in Roy, Utah to support the Sentinel program. The role focuses on coordinating electrical design/analysis, working with vendors, and delivering design artifacts across distributed facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 12 years experience, or 10 years with a Master’s, or 8 years with a PhD.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval within a reasonable period of time.
• Experience with formal management and/or leadership including performance reviews
• Demonstrated experience leading cross organizational collaboration
• Control Account Management (CAM) experience
• Electrical design and/or electrical integration experience
• Knowledgeable with Siemens Teamcenter PLM or equivalent
• Electrical engineering experience in electrical architecture, power equipment design, interface definition, cable/harness design and/or power distribution
• Experience utilizing Siemens Capital or equivalent
• Knowledgeable with creating and executing schedule & technical recovery plans
• Ability to meet program technical, cost and schedule milestones
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate electrical design/analysis such as cable/harness and distribution boxes per scope of work
• Manage interactions with vendors/suppliers
• Review engineering deliverables (one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, data sheets, interconnect/connect diagrams, specs, analyses)
• Support development/review/delivery of PDP, ADP, Interface Models, CDRLs, SDRLs
• Ensure design/analysis quality by applying processes
• Brief design/analysis artifacts to leadership and customers
• Identify risks/opportunities and implement mitigation/capture actions
• Attend internal program, customer and supplier technical meetings
• Support milestone reviews with progress updates
• Coordinate electrical system engineering content and work products
• Demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills
• Understand system-level interdependencies affecting electrical requirements
• Collaborate across levels and teams
• Maintain schedule and technical recovery plans
