Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer in Roy, UT to join the Flight Systems Futures team. You will design, develop, and demonstrate hypersonic re-entry vehicles and payloads, with rapid development and MBSE-based traceability across requirements and interfaces.

You will collaborate with mechanical, software and test teams, author requirements, review vendor data, and participate in reviews while adhering to DoD standards and Northrop Grumman processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 8+ years of experience, or Master’s with 10+ years, or PhD with 8+ years.
• US citizen with active DoD Top Secret clearance and SAP eligibility.
• 3+ years reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and datasheets with verification matrices and traceability.
• 1+ years MBSE experience and ability to maintain system models.
• 1+ years experience with military/industry codes and standards (mil-specs, IEEE, NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEC, UFC).

Responsibilities

• Author clear, testable requirements and verification plans for electrical subsystems.
• Review vendor data for compliance with program requirements.
• Maintain MBSE model traceability among requirements, interfaces, and verifications.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and test engineers to resolve cross-domain impacts.
• Participate in design, trade, and verification reviews and provide status updates.
• Follow configuration control and documentation standards.
