Job summary

Twenty-Six Defense is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to lead complex board-level hardware design within SlingWorks. You will drive electrical integration from architecture to validation, mentoring engineers on high-reliability systems in a fast-paced defense environment.

You will collaborate with mechanical, systems, and embedded software teams to ensure cohesive system-level solutions and transition designs from prototype to production, while adhering to MIL‑STD/DO‑254 practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering (master’s preferred).
• 12+ years of experience in electronic design, hardware development, and system integration.
• Proven ability to lead major design efforts across engineering disciplines.
• Strong schematic capture and circuit simulation skills (Mentor Graphics Xpedition, LTSPICE).
• Familiarity with PLM/ERP tools; aerospace/defense MIL-STD or DO‑254 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex board-level hardware design from schematic to board bring-up.
• Define electrical architectures across analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power domains.
• Integrate processors, sensors, and high-speed interfaces at subsystem level.
• Guide FPGA electrical integration strategies (no RTL required) and perform design reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive design execution on major programs.
• Ensure reliability with test plans, validation strategies, and DFM/DFT readiness.
