Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering (master’s preferred).
• 12+ years of electronic design, hardware development, and system integration.
• Proven ability to lead major design efforts across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Experience with schematic capture tools and electrical analysis/simulation tools.
• Familiarity with PLM or ERP tools; aerospace/defense experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex electrical and board‑level hardware, including schematic capture and interface definition.
• Contribute to electrical architecture decisions across digital, analog, mixed‑signal, and power domains.
• Integrate processors, sensors, and high‑speed interfaces at the subsystem level.
• Support FPGA electrical integration strategies (no RTL required).
• Direct PCB layout activities to ensure signal integrity, EMC/EMI robustness, manufacturability, and compliance.
• Lead board bring‑up, electrical debug, validation, and root‑cause analysis in lab environments.
• Develop test plans and validation strategies for program hardware.
• Drive resolution of electrical issues across prototype and low‑rate production builds.
• Lead electrical design for SWaP‑constrained systems including power distribution and thermal considerations.
• Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and embedded software teams for system‑level integration.
• Participate in architecture reviews, trade studies, and design reviews.
• Support DFM/DFT approaches and transition designs to manufacturing.
• Perform electrical analysis, modeling, and simulation to reduce technical risk.
• Provide mentoring and design reviews for junior and mid‑level engineers.
• Work with other Staff and Senior Staff engineers to ensure cohesive system solutions.
