Job summary

Twenty-Six Defense Maritime is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design, modeling, testing and documentation of advanced electronic circuits and subsystems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize resources and deliver state-of-the-art electromechanical systems and sensors, including Sparton sonobuoys.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in an engineering department.
• Experience with LTSpice or equivalent and MATLAB.
• Experience with microcontrollers, DSPs and FPGAs.
• Experience with generating electrical design documentation and technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, simulate and test complex electronic circuits, subsystems and systems.
• Assist engineering with design modification for development efforts.
• Create schematic drawings and support PCB design, layout and routing of sub-assemblies and systems.
• Support designs with analysis, simulations and calculations using SPICE and MATLAB.
• Prepare documentation for engineering and manufacturing of products.
• Conduct complex in-house tests and mentor other engineers.
• Apply risk, failure analysis and root cause analysis as required.
• Resolve product process and system issues and initiate cost-improvement actions.
• Maintain development and production BOM for obsolescence.
• Provide communications and presentations to customers or vendors.
