Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer in Roy, UT. Responsibilities include end‑to‑end design, integration, and testing of advanced flight systems with responsibilities spanning from block diagrams to interface control documents.

Qualifications require 12 years with a BS, 10 with an MS, or 8 with a PhD, plus 2+ years leading teams and 5+ years in hypersonic/flight/missile design. Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain is required.

Qualifications

  • 12 years with a Bachelor’s in Science; 10 years with a Master’s; or 8 years with a PhD.
  • 2+ years of experience leading Electrical Engineering or technical teams.
  • 5+ years of electrical design experience for hypersonic, flight, or missile systems.
  • Active Secret clearance at the time of application, or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable period.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval as required.

Responsibilities

  • Hands‑on troubleshooting of electrical hardware.
  • Ability to present complex technical programs to non‑technical personnel and customers.
  • Experience with CEM modeling tools such as HFSS.
  • Cable design and testing.
  • Engineering for EMI/EMC/ESD compliance, Mil‑Std‑464.
  • Role as Responsible Engineer (RE) for electronics subsystems.
  • Management of third‑party contractors and vendors.
Benefits & Work Schedule

Standard work schedule: 9/80 (nine‑hour days Monday through Thursday, every other Friday off).

Position contingent upon contract award.

Salary & Compensation

Primary level salary range: $152,900.00 – $229,300.00.
