Position Overview

Electrical Engineering Manager2 to join a multi‑functional team of Electrical, Mechanical, and Systems Engineers in Roy, UT. This position is in our Strategic Deterrent Systems Division to execute the Engineering and Manufacturing Development phase of the Sentinel Program.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate across Systems Engineering, System Test, Global Supply Chain, suppliers, and other Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to develop and review electrical system hardware requirements, specifications, designs, trade studies, and analyses supporting incremental system maturity milestones and hardware deliveries.
  • Ensure team members have the required training, tools, and access to perform design engineering responsibilities.
  • Develop and review engineering packages for product lifecycle management release.
  • Support dual-hatted role: 80% individual senior engineering work and 20% people leadership within a functional management homeroom.

  • 1+ year Cost Account Manager and Program Scheduling experience.
  • Electrical requirement verification experience.
  • Integration and Test development/execution experience.
  • Experience with Team Center/CPLM.
  • Experience leading TEMPEST or EMI efforts with integrated product teams (IPTs).
  • Strong CAD skills in developing wire diagrams or electrical schematics.
  • Experience designing, analyzing, and developing a power budget for an electrical power system of a military/aerospace system.
  • Experience developing multi‑discipline system architecture for a military/aerospace system.
  • Mechanical engineering experience designing, troubleshooting (RCA) and/or implementing ground power systems, facility power systems and/or launch power systems.
  • Revit experience.
  • Experience with high‑power and/or high‑frequency systems, including power electronics.
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC design, shielding techniques, and thermal management for electronic systems.
  • Authorship and release of engineering documentation including technical drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, milestone reviews, and government contracting.
  • Experience maintaining and reporting status of program activities.
  • Electrical Professional Engineering (P.E.) license.

Work Schedule

The positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Salary and Compensation

Primary Level Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $208,700.00. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Northrop Grumman provides additional benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
