Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, we are in search of a Staff Electrical Engineer. [ST1] As part of the engineering team, the Staff Electrical Engineer will have the opportunity to see products through from the engineering prototype phase to full production. This includes generator docking stations, switchboards, control panels, and other automation and control-based power solutions. In this role you will get to:

• Define, design, prototype, develop, and commercialize a range of products including temporary generator docking stations, UL-891 andUL-1558 compliant switchboards, automatic transfer switches, and more.
• Design schematics, one-line documents, and specify required equipment for multi-layer power distribution systems.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to design engineers, test technicians, and assembly personnel.

Job Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical system/product design.
• Proficiency with electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, E-Plan, and others.
• Experience defining electrical specifications for power distribution offerings including switchgear, switchboards, transfer switches, and generators.
• Experience with creation of detailed technical product documentation to support product manufacturing, functional testing, certification testing, and customer requests.
• Ability to specify safe and effective testing practices for powered product testing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• NFPA 70E Certification.
• Experience with UL891, UL1558, UL508, UL1008, and others.
• Experience with ERP, PLM, and Engineering Vault software.
• Medium voltage product design experience.
• Position may require up to 20% travel within North America.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to define and lead implementation of new Trystar product design standards.
• Ability to work in fast changing environment where the documentation standards are in flux.
