Job summary

Moveworks is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Developer Experience to design and build core developer platforms, SDKs, and APIs that empower the MW developer ecosystem. You will own end-to-end delivery of agentic developer products, driving activation, velocity, and quality of published artifacts while promoting reliability and clean abstractions.

You will lead platform strategy, mentor senior engineers, and help raise the team’s technical depth with a strong emphasis on developer

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production systems.
• Proven ability to build general-purpose developer-facing platforms.
• Strong distributed systems fundamentals: reliability, API design, performance, and observability.
• Backend depth in Python and/or Go; fluent in microservices and cloud-native patterns.
• Experience building platforms that other engineers build on top of.
• Product sense for developer experience and platform usability.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core developer platforms powering the MW developer ecosystem (SDKs, APIs, tooling).
• Own end-to-end delivery of agentic developer products to improve productivity and reduce integration friction.
• Define platform primitives and ensure generality, reliability and clean abstractions.
• Drive improvements in developer activation, integration velocity and ecosystem breadth.
• Lead technical strategy: roadmap input, API design, cross-team alignment.
• Set engineering bar: architecture reviews, observability, and operational excellence.
• Mentor senior engineers to raise the team’s technical depth.
