Job summary

Raft is seeking a Staff DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable platform infrastructure across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments. You will lead IaC, Kubernetes, CI/CD and GitOps efforts to deliver mission‑critical applications for federal and public agencies.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in DevOps/Platform Engineering, strong cloud experience (AWS or similar), and hold CKA/CKAD and security certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps/Platform Engineering/Staff level roles.
• Hands-on Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud deployments.
• Provisioning, hardening, and maintaining compliant clusters.
• Kubernetes architecture, Helm, and CNIs like Calico/Cilium.
• Experience with AWS or similar enterprise clouds.
• IaC, Terraform/Ansible expertise; GitLab Runners.
• CI/CD pipelines, security integration, observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage IaC for distributed, containerized apps.
• Architect and run Kubernetes clusters across clouds.
• Build secure, performant CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and security scanning.
• Mature GitOps workflows with modern tooling.
• Deploy and support platform services for DOW tenants.
• Maintain highly available Kubernetes clusters while ensuring security standards.
• Provide multi-tenant access to cloud native services.
• Develop automation to improve reliability and scalability.
• Configure Kubernetes networking (Calico/Cilium).
• Deploy observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent Bit, Loki, Kibana.
