Job summary

Render is hiring a Staff Developer Relations Engineer to grow usage among developers building AI-powered, full-stack apps. You will be the technical face of Render at conferences, workshops, meetups, and in developer ecosystems, shaping the DevRel program and setting high technical standards.

You’ll work across DX Engineering and DevRel to craft demos, templates, and talks; you’ll guide community engagement and partner programs, traveling for conferences and events across the US.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in developer relations, solutions engineering, or software engineering with developer-facing experience.
• Track record of talks at major conferences and self-designed workshops.
• Experience setting direction for a developer relations program and measuring impact.
• Hands-on fluency with AI agents, tooling, and production workloads.
• Cloud infrastructure knowledge including containers, networking, and IaC.
• Proficiency with developer tooling ecosystems and evolving agent frameworks.
• Excellent spoken and written communication with technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Represent Render at conferences, meetups, hackathons, and streams with talks and demos.
• Design and run hands-on workshops and hackathons.
• Set DevRel's technical direction and define success metrics.
• Collaborate with ecosystem partners for joint events and integrations.
• Engage with technical communities and provide actionable feedback to product teams.
• Drive developer adoption and capture feedback to influence roadmap.
• Mentor and review DevRel work to raise the team's impact.
• Track event-driven activation and community engagement outcomes.
