Job summary

Render is seeking a Staff Developer Relations Engineer to grow usage and word of mouth among developers building full‑stack and AI applications. You’ll be the technical face on stage, in workshops, at meetups, and within AI ecosystems where our users build.

DX Engineering creates tutorials, sample apps, templates, and a video library; DevRel leads community engagement, talks, and partner collaborations, shaping technical direction and the talks you’ll deliver.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in developer relations, solutions engineering, or software engineering.
• Demonstrated track record on stage: talks at conferences and self-designed workshops.
• Experience setting direction for a developer relations program and measuring impact.
• Hands-on fluency with AI agents and agent tooling; ability to explain production needs.
• Engineering depth to be credible with senior engineers, including multi-service apps and debugging.
• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure: containers, Docker, networking basics, CI/CD, IaC.

Responsibilities

• Represent Render at conferences, meetups, hackathons, podcasts, and livestreams with talks and demos.
• Design and run hands-on workshops and hackathons from curriculum to setup.
• Define DevRel's technical direction and which communities and events to invest in.
• Collaborate with ecosystem partners on joint workshops and integrations.
• Engage technical communities on GitHub, X, Discord, Reddit, and Hacker News; answer hard questions.
• Turn field feedback into prioritized input for Product and Engineering.
