Job summary

Render is seeking a Staff Developer Relations Engineer to grow usage and word of mouth for Render among developers building full‑stack and AI applications. You'll be Render's technical face on stage, in workshops, at meetups, and in the developer and AI ecosystems where our users build.

DX at Render has two halves. DX Engineering builds tutorials, sample apps, and templates; DevRel takes Render to developers and partners, setting the technical bar and direction for talks and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in developer relations, solutions engineering, or software engineering.
• Ability to deliver talks at conferences and run workshops you designed.
• Experience setting direction for a developer relations program and measuring impact.
• Hands-on fluency with AI agents, tool calling, LLM APIs, and agent frameworks.
• Engineering depth to deploy multi-service apps, read logs, and troubleshoot deployments.
• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure: containers, networking, CI/CD, IaC.

Responsibilities

• Represent Render at conferences, meetups, hackathons, podcasts, and livestreams with talks and demos.
• Design and run hands-on workshops and hackathons, from curriculum to setup.
• Set DevRel's technical direction: communities, ecosystems, and events.
• Collaborate with ecosystem partners on joint workshops and integrations.
• Engage technical communities on GitHub, X, Discord, Reddit, and Hacker News.
• Capture developer feedback and turn it into prioritized input for Product and Engineering.
• Elevate DevRel maturity via talks, demos, and internal reviews.
• Track impact through events, workshops, and partner-driven adoption.
