Job summary

Liberate is seeking a seasoned Staff DevOps and Platform Engineer to own and evolve its real-time AI voice and workflow automation platform. You will lead AWS-based infrastructure, manage CI/CD, and drive reliability across multi-agent runtimes.

You will mentor engineers, design forward-looking system improvements, and partner with Product to scale rapidly while maintaining security and compliance in a U.S.-wide remote-friendly setup.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering in production at scale.
• Strong hands-on AWS expertise (EKS, IAM, VPC, ALB/NLB, CloudWatch, KMS).
• Proficiency in Kubernetes and multi-environment management.
• Proficiency with Terraform or IaC and GitOps workflows.
• High proficiency in Python, Go, or Typescript for tooling and automation.
• Experience with Traefik, HAProxy, or similar load-balancers.
• Familiarity with MTLS, certificate hierarchies, and secure service-to-service auth.
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions and CodeBuild.
• Ability to lead incidents and define SLOs for reliability.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve infrastructure architecture across AWS, including PBX systems, EKS, and networking.
• Manage MTLS proxy infrastructure and secure carrier integrations.
• Lead incident response, on-call rotations, and postmortems to improve SLA/SLO/SLI.
• Improve CI/CD workflows, environment promotion, and toolchains for developers.
• Drive compliance via SOC2, pen-testing, and Vanta controls.
• Mentor engineers and raise operational maturity across DevOps and platform teams.
• Collaborate with AI Platform and Product to align infra with business goals.
