Job summary

StrongMind is a remote-first education and technology company seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to own AWS infrastructure and elevate reliability, security, and observability. You will build scalable CI/CD pipelines, advance IaC with Pulumi, and guide cloud-native architecture while partnering with Security and Compliance.

This role balances ownership with hands-on execution in a collaborative team. Ideal candidates have deep AWS experience, strong automation skills, and a proven mentoring track

Qualifications

• 8+ years in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or related field.
• Deep hands-on AWS experience with ECS Fargate, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, VPC, and S3.
• Strong IaC experience (Pulumi or similar) and policy-as-code capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve AWS infrastructure (ECS, VPC, Route 53, IAM, S3, etc.).
• Improve observability, uptime, reliability, and operational maturity in production.
• Build and maintain IaC and CI/CD pipelines; advance deployment patterns.
• Mentor engineers on cloud-native architecture and secure-by-default design.
• Support Azure migration to AWS and collaborate with Security & Compliance.
