Job summary

Buyers Edge Platform is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design and build tooling that reduces complexity for development and operations teams.

You will empower developers to focus on building great products while improving CI/CD, scaling infrastructure, and automating deployment processes. This role supports remote work or a hybrid office arrangement with a focus on productivity and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Information Security or equivalent.
• 2 years’ experience in a DevOps position.
• 3 years’ experience in Software Engineering.
• 2 years’ experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Production experience running Kubernetes / EKS.
• Scripting in Bash, Python or Go (Go language preferred).
• CI tools: CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab.
• Configuration management with Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation.
• GIT experience; monitoring and logging familiarity.
• Experience with MySQL, Aurora and Redshift.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve CI/CD pipeline tools for multiple software products.
• Collaborate with development teams to align on goals.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
• Infrastructure as code to deploy development environments.
• Containerize applications to improve deployments and resilience.
• Work with development and QA to streamline workflows.
• Ensure scalable, disaster-recoverable infrastructure.
• Respond to service issues and requests promptly.
• Apply security benchmarking practices.
• Manage development resources and access controls.
• Occasional after-hours work.
• Develop internal tooling to improve operational efficiency.
