Job summary

TurbineOne is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer with a DevOps focus to own and advance automated testing for edge devices worldwide. You will design, build, and operate scalable infrastructure and testing platforms with high autonomy, collaborating across product engineering and QA to raise software quality and velocity.

The role emphasizes building internal platforms, improving pipelines, and delivering edge-edge solutions in a fully remote US-based setting.

Qualifications

• Senior- or Staff-level impact designing, building, and owning software systems.
• Strong programming ability across at least one production language; Python and Bash commonly used.
• Experience in infrastructure-focused disciplines: SRE, Production Engineering, CI/CD, Build & Release, Developer Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, Test Infrastructure.
• Able to navigate ambiguity, collaborate across teams, and deliver results with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate production-quality infrastructure with significant autonomy.
• Build automated testing infrastructure for software running across heterogeneous edge hardware.
• Make tests reproducible and failures easy to diagnose across diverse hardware platforms.
• Enable Product Engineering and QA teams to contribute automated tests while DevOps owns and evolves the automation platform.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, build and release systems, deployment automation, developer tooling, and platform reliability.
• Identify high-leverage engineering opportunities, define technical approaches, write production software, and drive major initiatives from ambiguity to successful operation.
• Partner closely with engineering teams to improve developer productivity and software quality.
