Job summary

Maple View, affiliated with National Health Care Associates, seeks a Staff Development Coordinator to design, implement, and oversee training for our care team. You will empower staff to deliver high‑quality, resident‑centered care while supporting professional growth and regulatory compliance.

You will lead orientation, assess needs, and collaborate with department heads to align programs with best practices. A nursing license is required, with advanced degrees preferred.

Qualifications

  • Valid state nursing license required.
  • Experience in a Long-Term Care leadership role preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in staff education.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and oversee training programs for our team.
  • Assess training needs, develop curriculum, and implement educational strategies.
  • Collaborate with department heads to align training with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and support to staff to enhance skills and performance.
  • Coordinate orientation of all new employees to ensure successful start and regulatory compliance.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and make improvements; maintain records of training activities and certifications.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in nursing care.

What You’ll Do

As the Staff Development Coordinator, you will design, implement, and oversee training programs for our team. Your expertise and guidance will empower our staff to provide high-quality care and achieve clinical program objectives aligned with our mission. Your leadership will contribute to the enhancement of our care standards, resident well-being and the professional growth of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver orientation and ongoing training programs that ensure the delivery of exceptional care to our residents
  • Assess training needs, develop curriculum, and implement educational strategies
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure training aligns with regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and support to staff to enhance their skills and performance
  • Coordinate orientation of all new employees to ensure a successful new-hire start and regulatory compliance
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements Maintain accurate records of training activities and staff certifications

What You’ll Bring
Qualifications of a Staff Development Coordinator include:
  • Valid state nursing license
  • Advanced degree or certification preferred
  • Experience in a nursing leadership role in a Long-Term Care setting preferred
