Job summary

The Cascades An Assisted Living Community in Bethel, CT is seeking an RN Designee for a part-time position (24 hours per week) with rotating on-call to lead an interdisciplinary team and oversee resident care, safety, and regulatory compliance.

You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate daily operations and care plans, and ensure high-quality care and audits. If you are an RN with leadership experience and compassion, join our team.

Qualifications

  • Valid state nursing license.
  • Advanced degree or certification preferred.
  • Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a Long-Term Care setting preferred.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both.
  • Strong clinical, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional care and ensure residents’ health and well‑being.
  • Oversight of facility operations, safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise nursing staff, assign staffing, and allocate resources.
  • Collaborate on care plans and conduct regular assessments and audits.
  • Mentor, train, and support nursing staff; uphold high standards.

What You'll Do:

As a RN Designee, you will lead an interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional care and ensure the health, comfort, and overall well‑being of our residents. Your responsibilities will include oversight of the facility operations, safety, cleanliness and compliance to nursing policies, procedures and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and guiding nursing staff to ensure high-quality care delivery
  • Overseeing daily operations, including staffing assignments and resource allocation
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
  • Conducting regular assessments and audits to maintain quality standards
  • Providing mentorship, training, and support to nursing staff
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and protocols
