Job summary

Newport Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Center in Newport, TN, seeks a Staff Development Coordinator (RN) to design, implement, and evaluate staff education programs ensuring clinical competency and regulatory compliance across the facility.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher from an accredited college.
  • Unencumbered RN license in the state in which we operate.
  • Long-term Care/skilled Nursing experience preferred.
  • Staff development or education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate orientation programs for new hires.
  • Plan and deliver ongoing in-service education and competency training.
  • Monitor and track staff certifications, licenses, and continuing education requirements.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and update programs as needed.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify education needs.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal training requirements.
  • Maintain accurate education and training records.
  • Perform other staff development and education duties as assigned.

Position Summary
