Overview

The ideal Staff Development Coordinator is detail-oriented with a passion for training and educating stakeholders to provide the best care possible to residents.

How you Will Make a Difference

  • Develop and implement job skills training, in-service education as required by regulations, and employee health monitoring for nursing department staff.
  • Regularly assess the competency of CNA skill performance, positive regard for residents, and developmental needs of direct care staff. Provide one-on-one instruction immediately if necessary.
  • Provide skill training to new staff in any deficient areas before allowing them to perform tasks with residents.
What You Need to Make a Difference

  • Current Registered Nurse license in the state.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting; long-term care experience preferred.
  • Current/active CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to long-term care.
