Overview

The ideal Staff Development Coordinator is detail-oriented and passionate about training and educating stakeholders to provide the best possible care to residents.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Develop and implement job skills training, in-service education as required by regulations, and employee health monitoring for nursing department staff.
  • Regularly assess the competency of CNA skill performance, positive resident interactions, and developmental needs of direct care staff. Provide one-on-one instruction immediately if necessary.
  • Provide skill training to new staff in any deficient areas before allowing them to perform tasks with residents.
What You Need to Make a Difference

  • Registered Nurse with current state licensure.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting; long-term care experience preferred.
  • Current/active CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines related to long-term care.
