Qualifications

• 10+ years in design engineering, front-end engineering, UX engineering, or product design with leadership experience.
• Proficient in modern JavaScript or TypeScript and component-based frameworks for direct codebase contribution.
• Experience with AI-enabled product features, emphasizing user trust and workflow clarity.
• Ability to translate vague product ideas into practical workflows and prototypes with balanced risk assessment.
• Proven technical leadership through mentoring and reusable design patterns.
• Understanding of AI, privacy, and security regulations affecting product experience.

Responsibilities

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Designer, Rapid Prototyping to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.

This role will sit at the intersection of design, front-end engineering, and AI-enabled product exploration, turning early concepts into tangible experiences that can be tested quickly. You will help shape interaction patterns, evaluate workflow clarity, and bring practical structure to ambiguous ideas in a fast-moving product environment. The position partners closely with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to influence direction while contributing directly to production-quality code when needed.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $155,000 - $175,000 annually
