Silicon Labs in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Staff Design Modeling Engineer to help define and execute a cross-discipline modeling framework for architecture exploration and virtual hardware development.

You will work with hardware and software architects to validate future products, writing models and performance analyses, and mentoring junior team members in a collaborative, learning-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, MS, or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Proficiency in C or C++ and Linux scripting.
• Experience with hardware architecture or modeling.
• Embedded C/assembly and Linux experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop hardware/software solutions to product-driven requirements.
• Write functional models to enable IP development.
• Develop virtual hardware platforms for simulation.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior modelers.
• Define and maintain our modeling framework.
