Job summary

Clerk AI is expanding Clerk Chat, a conversational AI platform that handles customer communications across SMS, voice, and email. We’re Series A funded and scaling our product design toward analytics-driven interfaces.

Lead design for dashboards and monitoring tools, collaborate with the CTO and engineers, ensure accessible UX across multi‑channel workflows, and help build reusable components. Proficiency in Figma and 5+ years in tech or digital agencies is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of tech/startup or digital product agency experience.
• Strong proficiency in Figma and modern design tools.
• Excellent visual design skills with UX/UI principles for data-heavy interfaces.
• Experience designing complex dashboards, monitoring tools, or analytics interfaces.
• Strong organizational skills and documentation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across design and engineering.
• Comfort working in a technical environment with APIs and developer-focused products.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve analytics and monitoring interfaces for AI agent performance tracking, execution monitoring, and real-time alerting systems.
• Create intuitive conversational experiences that integrate analytics visualizations.
• Collaborate with CTO and engineering to develop UI/UX for multi-channel management (SMS, voice, email).
• Champion accessibility and user experience across the platform for technical and non-technical users.
• Develop reusable component patterns for agent configuration, dashboards, and real-time data displays.
• Work with engineers on TypeScript/React APIs and developer experience.
• Identify areas of improvement in analytics interfaces and workflows for users.
• Participate in design critiques, storytelling, stand-ups, and sprint planning.
• Contribute to hiring and document design patterns and best practices.
