Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to own pricing experimentation and strategy for our Consumer & Business products. You will design pricing tests, build models, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance to drive the company’s pricing strategy and bottom line.

You'll lead end-to-end analytics, develop data pipelines, and present actionable insights to senior leadership in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with quarterly in-person surges.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data science with pricing experimentation, causal inference, and statistical modeling.
• 5+ years leading pricing/experimentation workstreams, including A/B tests and predictive models.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or R for modeling, pipelines, and analysis.
• Track record delivering complex analytics across multiple teams and presenting to executives.
• Uses Generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflows and outputs.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end pricing experimentation from design to recommendation.
• Build and refine pricing models and evaluation frameworks for consumer products.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance to develop pricing vision and roadmap.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and models powering pricing analytics.
• Synthesize findings into clear recommendations and present to senior leadership.
