Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Staff Data Scientist in the Data Science team within the Platform group to own pricing experimentation and strategy for Consumer & Business products. You will design tests, build models, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance to turn analysis into a pricing roadmap that drives the company's bottom line.

You'll lead end-to-end pricing workstreams, develop production-grade data pipelines, and present actionable insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data science with a focus on pricing experimentation and causal inference.
• 5+ years directly leading pricing or experimentation workstreams, including A/B testing.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or R for modeling and analysis.
• Track record of delivering complex analytical projects across multiple teams.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end pricing experimentation, from test design through analysis and recommendation.
• Build and refine pricing models and evaluation frameworks for pricing strategy across products.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance to align pricing roadmap and priorities.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and data models powering pricing analytics.
• Synthesize findings and present clear, actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
