Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to lead the data organization, architect production ML systems, and translate business needs into scalable data products. You will bridge strategy and production, ensuring reliable, measurable business outcomes.

You will mentor senior and mid-level scientists, drive end-to-end deployment, and collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Business teams to align technical work with core metrics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Data Science or ML Engineering delivering production systems with measurable impact.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; expert in the Python data stack (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) and major ML frameworks (PyTorch/XGBoost/LightGBM).
• Experience with cloud-based production ML (AWS or GCP) and CI/CD for ML workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect the 0-to-1 Foundation and automated ML systems, balancing quality and speed.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into actionable technical roadmaps.
