Job summary

Evolve is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to lead high-impact ML initiatives across owner acquisition, pricing, and revenue. You will build end-to-end ML pipelines, frame problems, and measure business impact while mentoring others in a lean remote team.

You will own modeling and systems work, contribute to economic and optimization tasks, and set pragmatic data science standards in collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Revenue teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years applying data science, statistics, econometrics, or ML to business problems
• Staff-level scope leading cross-functional DS/ML work
• Strong Python and SQL with production-grade code
• Experience owning production ML systems: deployment, monitoring, and iteration
• Strong applied-statistics and model-evaluation judgment including experimentation
• Ability to connect technical decisions to business outcomes and communicate tradeoffs clearly
• Self-directed, collaborative, hands-on in a lean, remote team

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction and hands-on delivery of applied ML initiatives
• Translate business opportunities into decision frameworks and plans for adoption
• Build end-to-end ML systems including data pipelines, training, evaluation, and deployment
• Contribute to forecasting, pricing, and optimization work
• Design experiments to evaluate product, model, and policy changes
• Establish testing, reproducibility, and model governance standards
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Revenue teams to integrate models into workflows
• Mentor data scientists and raise the team's technical judgment
