Job summary

EvolutionIQ is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to serve as the analytics expert for internal stakeholders and clients. You will lead data-driven decision making, develop models, and deliver ROI-focused insights across claims data and product analytics.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Product to drive high-ROI initiatives, run experiments, and communicate findings through stories and dashboards. A strong background in statistics and ML, plus 7+ years of experience, is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data analysis/quantitative experience, ML and product environments
• 2+ years mentoring or tech-leading junior analysts
• Master's degree in statistics or equivalent
• Strong statistics, modeling, and SQL engineering skills
• Designed and analyzed A/B or multi-arm experiments with product impact
• Proficient in Python, pandas, Jupyter notebooks, and SQL dashboards

Responsibilities

• Guide leadership with ROI-focused data analysis and recommendations
• Generate hypotheses and explore data to identify new product directions
• Create client-ready insights to support sales and marketing narratives
• Present results to internal stakeholders and clients in the insurance sector
• Build and standardize client-facing analyses across multiple products and ROI dimensions
• Collaborate with ML team to analyze modeling results and fix data issues
• Write efficient SQL queries, reusable dashboards, and reproducible analytics tools
• Drive cross-organizational projects and define operational goals
