Job summary

Roofr is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to turn raw data into strategic insights and applications that shape growth, strategy, and customer experience. You’ll collaborate with senior leaders and a skilled analytics team to drive data science initiatives across sales, marketing, and product using both traditional analyses and ML.

You’ll work with a modern cloud data stack (Snowflake Cortex, DBT, Sigma/Looker) to deliver data-driven decisions and scalable analytics across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data science experience in fast-moving business settings.
• Hands-on experience with a modern cloud data stack (Snowflake, DBT) and BI tools.
• Strong SQL and statistical modeling skills including forecasting and causal inference.
• Excellent documentation habits and Git version control.
• Contribute to shared semantic layer and scalable data models.

Responsibilities

• Architect optimization analyses and forecasts across Growth, Strategy, Revenue, Marketing, and Product.
• Partner with executive leadership to translate analysis into decisions and process changes.
• Design counterfactual analyses and A/B tests to evolve UX and product features.
• Build data apps to automate and enhance sales and marketing processes.
• Own projects end-to-end from framing questions to shipping models and presenting recommendations.
• Work on the semantic layer and DBT models powering the analytics stack.
