Western Alliance Bancorporation seeks a Staff Engineer II to join AmeriHome's Data Services team in Chandler, AZ. You will bridge business needs and delivery, shape the platform for mortgage workflows, and support validation, disaster recovery, and release readiness.

The role emphasizes leading cross-functional teams, building automation, and governing architectural compliance while coordinating with security, release, and infrastructure partners. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years IT App Support, IT Development or IT Networking experience.
• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Experience in financial services or regulated enterprise IT.
• Experience with Selenium, HuLoop, Playwright or JMeter.
• Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and CI/CD validation.
• Familiar with DR testing, DNS, API authentication and infra dependencies.
• Strong governance, risk management and architectural compliance knowledge.
• Excellent written and spoken communication; able to lead teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Translate needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and test plans.
• Coordinate testing, validate changes, and ensure production readiness.
• Support disaster recovery activities and DR validation.
• Lead test automation strategy and validate automated outcomes.
