Wonder is seeking a Staff Data Engineer in New York/Chicago to lead the architecture and delivery of core data pipelines. You’ll own end-to-end design, shape data products, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, analytics and platform teams to publish trusted datasets for reporting and experimentation.

You will drive data quality, observability, and scalable architecture while communicating trade-offs to senior leadership. This role emphasizes hands-on coding and strategic leadership.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in science, programming or engineering or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of data engineering with distributed systems focus.
• Strong dimensional data modeling and analytics data products.

Responsabilidades

• Own architecture of core data pipelines and domain data products end-to-end.
• Set technical direction and standards across multiple teams.
• Write performant, secure code for complex problems and lead reviews.
• Partner with product/analytics to publish trusted datasets for reporting.
• Mentor engineers and participate in hiring to grow team.
