Front’s Data team builds the analytics infrastructure that powers decision‑making across the company — from product insights to GTM performance. We’re looking for a Staff Data Engineer to own critical parts of that platform end‑to‑end: designing scalable pipelines and data models, raising the bar on reliability and data quality, and enabling self‑serve data access for teams across Front.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or equivalent ETL work.
• Experience managing a Snowflake data warehouse.
• Strong programming fundamentals and modular code writing.
• Advanced SQL and Python with large datasets.
• Experience with a big data tech stack (HDFS, EMR, Spark, etc.).
• Familiar with Airflow for workflow management.
• Proactive, service-oriented mindset with multiple project handling.

Responsibilities

• Architect data pipelines with fast, robust end-to-end solutions for internal analytics users.
• Automate manual processes and enable self-service data access.
• Own data quality and meet Data Team SLAs on time.
• Design data schemas and optimize queries for large datasets.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and non-data stakeholders.
• Keep data available and secure across regions and centers.
• Implement monitoring and auditing for data reliability and traceability.
• Evaluate tools and vendors, guiding technology choices.
