Cribl is hiring a Staff Data Engineer to lead Cribl's Data Engineering team. You will direct architecture for analytics, data science, and operations across the company, partnering with stakeholders while mentoring engineers.

Join a remote-first, fast-growing SaaS company building telemetry infrastructure for the AI era. You will own Snowflake, dbt, and the modern data stack, with a strong emphasis on cost, performance, and governance.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Snowflake: advanced data modeling, query and warehouse performance tuning, cost management, and security/RBAC design.
• Demonstrated technical leadership: tech lead or staff-level engineer setting direction.
• Strong Python and SQL fundamentals with solid ELT patterns.
• Hands-on AWS and infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform.
• Experience building cloud backends: APIs, ingestion services, event-driven workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead for the Data Engineering team and own architecture for core data systems.
• Drive reliable, production-grade outcomes and cost awareness.
• Mentor and grow engineers through code review and pairing.
• Operate self-hosted orchestration (Prefect preferred; Airflow/Dagster accepted).
• Own Cribl's Snowflake environment and data warehouse cost/performance at scale.
