Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, statistics, or a related field.
• 10+ years in software engineering with data engineering focus.
• Proficiency in Scala, Python, and SQL.
• Experience building large-scale data pipelines with Spark, Flink, Dataflow, and BigQuery.
• Strong knowledge of A/B testing, statistical concepts, and experiments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and mentor teams.

Responsibilities

• Define the data architecture strategy for the experimentation platform.
• Lead near real-time systems and observability initiatives using Scala, Pub/Sub, Akka, and Dataflow.
• Build scalable pipelines with Dataflow, BigQuery, and Airflow/Composer.
• Develop capabilities like experiment targeting and localized assignments at scale.
• Optimize data infrastructure balancing speed, scale, cost, and accuracy.
• Stay current with industry trends in experimentation and cloud data tech.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide best practices.
• Collaborate with marketers, analysts, and data scientists on metrics and methods.
