Job summary

Early Warning Services is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to build and evolve our modern data platform underpinning Zelle and related payment products. You will shape data architecture, drive scalable cloud-native solutions, and partner with Product, Architecture, and Platform Engineering to deliver reliable data capabilities for analytics and AI/ML workloads.

You’ll work with AWS and other cloud technologies, influencing enterprise-scale data strategies and ensuring secure, scalable delivery

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of relevant related experience.
• Seven or more years building complex data platforms and distributed systems.
• Two or more years of experience in development/operationalization of AI/ML models.
• Experience delivering business-critical systems to the market.
• Ability to influence and work in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience designing/developing scalable systems.
• Extensive experience implementing Data Warehouse schemas and Big Data tools.
• Experience with Python, Spark, PySpark, and R in data contexts.

Responsibilities

• Develop data strategy for broad, complex requirements with insightful approaches.
• Lead architectural decisions, design, prototyping, and implementation of data platforms.
• Drive technical plans, backlogs of stories, and production delivery.
• Guide cross-functional teams and align with product and architecture.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineering groups.
