Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to build and evolve its modern data platform behind Zelle and related products. You will tackle large-scale distributed data challenges, influence architecture, and create cloud-native data capabilities powering analytics and AI/ML workloads.

You will work with AWS cloud technologies, partnering with Product, Architecture, and Platform Engineering to deliver reliable, secure data services and reusable platform solutions for enterprise-scale needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
Eight+ years of relevant related experience.
Seven+ years building complex data platforms and distributed systems.
Six+ years in data warehouse, big data platforms, real-time and batch processing.
Four+ years developing BI solutions.
Two+ years in AI/ML model lifecycle activities.

Responsibilities

Define and drive data architecture and strategy for large-scale systems.
Lead design, prototyping, and implementation for product data needs.
Own features and ensure health of related systems.
Collaborate with product, architecture, and platform teams to deliver data capabilities.
Guide cross-functional teams and present technical viewpoints.
Resolve production issues with Support and Ops teams.
Improve data standards, tooling, and processes.
