Job summary

Clarium in the United States is seeking a staff-level data engineer to own the architecture for our core data infrastructure on AWS. You will design, build, and operate reliable batch and near-real-time pipelines, modeling ERP-derived supply chain data into a cohesive warehouse.

You'll work across transactional databases and an analytical warehouse, mentor engineers, and lead governance for sensitive data while partnering with analytics, product, and engineering teams to create durable data

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data or software engineering experience, including end-to-end ownership in production.
• Expert-level SQL; able to read a query plan and explain bottlenecks.
• Strong Python for production data work, with pipelines and testing.
• Deep experience with Postgres and Snowflake; design and performance tuning.
• Hands-on data pipelines and orchestration tools; Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, dbt, Fivetran, Spark, Kafka.
• Production AWS experience (S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS) and cost/security considerations.
• Proven track record leading multi-quarter cross-team initiatives; comfortable with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and technical roadmap for core data infrastructure on AWS.
• Design, build, and operate reliable batch and near-real-time pipelines with SLAs.
• Model ERP-derived supply chain data into a coherent warehouse model; lead migrations.
• Tune performance and cost for Postgres and Snowflake with indexing and sizing.
• Establish data engineering standards and mentor teammates through design reviews.
• Collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering to turn questions into durable data models.
• Lead governance for sensitive data including lineage, access, retention, and de-identification.
