Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to join a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will shape the architecture and standards for a modern data platform that supports analytics, operational reporting, and AI-enabled use cases.

The ideal candidate will partner closely with engineering, BI, actuarial, and business stakeholders to build reliable, governed data products that scale across the organization.

Qualifications

  • 9-12 years in building and operating complex production data platforms.
  • Expertise in Snowflake and dbt, including performance optimization and deployment practices.
  • Strong programming and data modeling skills in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with modern orchestration and ingestion technologies like Airflow, Kafka, and Snowpipe.
  • Proficient in establishing data products and governance standards across teams.
  • Experience creating infrastructure for feature engineering and AI data systems.
  • Production experience with Looker and governed semantic models.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Data Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will shape the architecture and standards for a modern data platform that supports analytics, operational reporting, and AI-enabled use cases. The ideal candidate will partner closely with engineering, BI, actuarial, and business stakeholders to build reliable, governed data products that scale across the organization. This position requires deep technical leadership in platform engineering, data modeling, and production data operations.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $157,000 – $232,650 annually

Responsibilities
