Ladders is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to join a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will shape the architecture and standards for a modern data platform that supports analytics, operational reporting, and AI-enabled use cases.

The ideal candidate will partner closely with engineering, BI, actuarial, and business stakeholders to build reliable, governed data products that scale across the organization.

Qualifications

• 9-12 years in building and operating complex production data platforms.
• Expertise in Snowflake and dbt, including performance optimization and deployment practices.
• Strong programming and data modeling skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience with modern orchestration and ingestion technologies like Airflow, Kafka, and Snowpipe.
• Proficient in establishing data products and governance standards across teams.
• Experience creating infrastructure for feature engineering and AI data systems.
• Production experience with Looker and governed semantic models.

Responsabilités

• Set architecture and engineering standards for Snowflake, dbt, and data platform infrastructure
• Design governed pipelines and data models for reliable insurance and security data
• Build reusable data products tailored for BI, actuarial, and AI/ML consumers
• Establish practices for data observability, quality, and security
• Develop foundational platforms for AI-driven feature engineering applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architecture with business goals
