Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Staff Data Center Software Developer to join the DCBBS Datacenter team in San Jose, CA. You will design and build end-to-end data center applications spanning web UI, backend services, and data storage, and contribute as a senior technical voice.

You will work across React, Python (Flask/FastAPI), and SQL/NoSQL databases, deploying to cloud or private Kubernetes with Docker and Helm, while guiding architectural decisions and mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of full-stack development experience, including production web UI/dashboard design and delivery.
• Strong skills in React and a UI/UX sensibility for dashboards.
• Strong backend skills in Python (Flask or FastAPI).
• Strong database design experience with SQL and/or MongoDB.
• Experience in cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or private cloud).
• Proficiency with Linux, containers, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git workflows, and container-based deployment.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Application Development: design and build end-to-end DataCenter applications across frontend, backend, and data storage.
• Web UI & Dashboard Design: develop dashboards for monitoring and managing data center systems.
• API Design & Integration: create RESTful APIs and microservices for dashboards and provisioning.
• Database Engineering: design schemas and queries for SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Cloud Platform Deployment: deploy to AWS, GCP, Azure or private Kubernetes with Docker/Helm.
• Technical Leadership: guide architectural decisions and mentor engineers.
• Monitoring & Observability: implement logging and monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki.
• Security & Access Control: implement OAuth2, SSO, and RBAC with InfoSec collaboration.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: maintain API references and design guidelines.
