Job summary

Supermicro seeks a Staff Data Center Solutions Architect to design software that links BMS and data center hardware with AI cloud monitoring. You will build robust interfaces, real-time telemetry, and secure control across data center racks, collaborating with EE and AI teams to enable scalable, resilient infrastructure.

You will implement industry-standard protocols and create APIs for the DCBBS platform, delivering well-instrumented software for modern cloud-enabled data centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE or related field.
• 8+ years software engineering experience with hardware interfaces.
• Experience with BMS integration or industrial/building automation protocols.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, or Go.
• Familiarity with Linux systems programming and driver-style software development.
• Understanding of datacenter infrastructure (power, cooling) basics.

Responsibilities

• BMS Integration & Control: design and develop software to monitor and control BMS and data center subsystems.
• Hardware-Software Interface Development: build applications, services, and drivers for EE-adjacent interfaces.
• Data Center Systems Software Architecture: define software architecture for control and telemetry systems.
• Real-Time Monitoring & Telemetry: create services to collect and expose real-time data.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration with EE Teams: work with electrical engineering and hardware teams.
• Protocol & Standards Implementation: support BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, Redfish, IPMI in software.
• API & Platform Integration: provide APIs for data consumption by orchestration and monitoring platforms.
• Documentation & Runbooks: maintain architecture docs and onboarding materials.
